Taras Kulbaba

Taras is a co-founder of the Brand Action initiative which stemmed largely from Taras’ experiences and volunteering efforts when the war broke out in Ukraine in February 2022. He is the group’s Director of Philanthropy, ensuring that the team’s efforts are directed at the right cause.

Taras has over 15 years of experience in IP and is a co-founder of a Brussels based IP boutique firm ‘Bukovnik & Kulbaba IP Guardians’, that specializes in all aspects of IP protection and strategy with a particular focus on the Eastern European countries. He holds an LLM in IP from the Queen Mary University, London (UK), and a Master’s Degree in International Private Law from the Institute of International Relations of the Kyiv Taras Shevchenko University. Taras is an active member of the worldwide IP community and a regular participant, speaker and moderator at international IP events and conferences. He is a member of the ECTA International Trade Committee and the INTA International Amicus Committee. In addition to volunteering with the Brand Action and ‘all things IP’, Taras’s third passion is raising a family, where empathy is among the core values.
